Iman has the signature Solace sound with some interesting addtions. Most notably is the addition of the beautiful vocals by Miranda. She sounds in deep sorrow one moment, joyous the next. The most exciting track of this recording is Iman which contains many rhythms and tempo changes. My next favorite track is Basharaat (track 9). It has a mellow, funky beat and a rattle that I just can't resist. Another notable song on this CD is track 6, Azure. It has a surprisingly Loreena Mckennitt-like sound. This album still contains much of the depth that is typical from Solace, but it has several tracks that are much lighter sounding. Definately a must have.

This is the first cd I'd bought, on the recommendation of my belly dance teacher. It made me an instant fan! The songs are soulful, and hauntingly beautiful. The songs have a way of bringing out one's sensuality; they almost command you to express it. Out of my entire collection, it's still my favorite.
