DescriptionPreview
Bedouins are the nomadic tribes of Arabia inhabiting deserts from Turkey to the borders of Afghanistan, and from the Atlantic Ocean to Egypt. The "dwellers of the desert" are known for tribal loyalty, humor, and legendary hospitality. Language and lyrics are the most important features of Bedouin musical expression, evident by the use of Arabic poetry with traditional instruments such as Rababa (one-stringed fiddle), Darabukka (goblet-shaped drum), Buzuk (long-necked lute with two strings), Shabbaba (cane flute), Mijwiz (reed pipe), and Tambourine (open frame drum). DETAILS IN ENGLISH, FRENCH, GERMAN, AND SPANISH!
