DescriptionPreview
The Indian state of Rajasthan stretches from the desert region of Jaisalmer at the Sindh frontier of West Pakistan to Gujarat in the west of India, to Madhya Pradesh in Middle India and towards Delhi. The music of the region is that of tribal communities with a strong folk tradition of the villages. The musicians on this CD are from the Langa tribe, a Gypsy tribe of Rajasthan, using traditional instruments such as the Harmonium (reed organ), Dhol (double-headed barrel-shaped drum), and Dholak (small Dhol played with fingers and palms of both hands). DETAILS IN ENGLISH, FRENCH, GERMAN, AND SPANISH!
