This film is set in pre-revolution Egypt and tells the story of a young, idealistic and politically motivated woman. Her traditional and controlling father is trying to force her into an arranged marriage, against everything she believes in. On July 23, 1952 the revolution sweeps Egypt and provides an opportunity for young women to not only participate in shaping the new country, but also to find true love outside of traditional and outdated customs. Starring the legendary "First Lady of Egyptian Cinema" Faten Hamama, Hassan Yousef, Shweekar, Mahmoud Morsi, and Saleh Salim. Script by Yousef Issa/Barakat/Latifa Al Zayyat, Directed by Barakat.
